The Welfare Committee was established in 1975, becoming a registered charity in June 1977
This is the Welfare Committee's original and main project
The bus enables the elderly, disabled and housebound people to attend clubs, groups, shopping trips. The bus is fully accessible with a tail lift. It can carry a maximum of 16 passengers including wheelchair users.

The organisation will be closed from 1 pm today 17th March 2020, and all our upcoming events are also cancelled or postponed until further notice. This includes Age UK Durham events
This is following the advice given by the Government yesterday, the decision was made to protect the health of our project users who are most vulnerable.
